Welcome

The XVII Iberian Meeting on Computational Electromagnetics (EIEC 2026) will take place 27–30 October 2026 in Elgorriaga (Navarra, Spain), in the heart of the Malerreka valley, just a few kilometers from the well-known Baztan Valley, in the western Pyrenees.

This corner of northern Navarra is a land where nature, history and legend intertwine. Nearby places such as the mysterious caves of Zugarramurdi, long associated with stories of witchcraft and ancient rituals, the impressive caves of Urdax, and the beautiful Señorío de Bertiz Natural Park are part of a landscape rich in tradition and atmosphere. The region is also renowned for its remarkable gastronomy, deeply rooted in the culture of the Navarrese mountains.

For this edition of EIEC, we have intentionally chosen a special venue: the Hotel-Spa Elgorriaga, a peaceful retreat surrounded by forests and mountains. This setting offers an ideal environment for scientific exchange, combining focused discussions with the possibility to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.

The conference will be held in autumn, when the forests of the valley, rich in beech and oak trees, reach their most spectacular moment, filling the landscape with warm colors and creating a particularly inspiring atmosphere.

As is customary, EIEC 2026 will bring together researchers working in computational electromagnetics and related areas, providing a forum to present recent advances, exchange ideas and foster collaborations within the community.
